My Lash Lift Experience

Being Asian, my lashes always have been straight, making them look unnoticeable. Wearing mascara was a struggle because I would curl my lashes, and every mascara I tried did not hold the curl in my lashes. I would heat up my eyelash curler with a straightener and then curl my lashes after putting on mascara, which was damaging to them.
On my search for fuller and longer-looking lashes, I stumbled across lash lifts, the modern sister of lash perms. The process took approximately 45 minutes. My lash technician laid me on top of a spa table and played ambient music. Because my lashes are long-ish, she choose the medium pad to glue on top of my eyelid. She proceeded to glue my lashes onto the pad and separate them. The process was very relaxing and slightly ticklish.
My only complaint was that my lash technician did not place an under eye pad that would cover my bottom lashes. I know that lash technicians sometimes do this in lash lifts to prevent their clients’ bottom lashes from being permed with their top lashes. I know they aren’t necessary, but because my lash technician did not use them, I could feel her separating my top and bottom lashes during the procedure. I could feel my eyes being slightly opened and closed by her, which was pretty scary. Nevertheless, my vision and eyeballs were intact by the end of the lash lift. If I were to get a lash lift again, I don’t think I would be bothered by the lack of a pad or my eyes being opened/closed anymore.
After the lash lift, I was not supposed to get them wet for 24 hours. The lash technician did not tell me that, which is worrisome for customers who may not know that. Thankfully, I did research prior to my appointment and did not shower that night. The lift is supposed to lash approximately 2 months and for me, costed ~50 dollars.
Overall, I am very happy with the results. Because my eyelashes are curled, I now reach for mascara more often. I can see the difference whether I have mascara on or not. The difference is very subtle, so most people won't comment on it, which may be a good or bad thing depending on the individual. I am not sure if I would want to do it again or not. I want a more dramatic result that would come with lash extensions. However, lash extensions would be way more expensive than lash lifts.
Sorry for my low-quality selfies, but here are the results of my lash lift.
